About Us

A Tradition of Honoring the Land

Red Scout Farm is a certified organic, no till farm producing a wide variety of nutritious vegetables and small fruits. We believe that food is medicine, and we take great care to build our soil, our greatest resource. We cultivate a vibrant ecosystem by working with nature to care for the creatures above and below ground.

Mary Carroll grew up visiting her grandfather’s garden, where Red Scout Farm’s market garden is now located. She rode to and from the field in the back of her grandfather’s International red Scout pickup truck, bouncing around in the back on the bumpy mountain road alongside potatoes, squash, and whatever else was in season. The farm is named as a nod to Mary Carroll’s grandfather, “Pop”, and his red Scout.

Red Scout Farm is a woman-run farm, with an amazing team of family members, full and part time employees, and volunteers. We value hard work, caring for the environment, and working together to produce beautiful, delicious produce.
